     The Kelly Boyz are a high-energy country rock band based out of Southern California. They have been performing together for more than four years. The band has entertained audiences throughout Southern California and across the United States, including at Broadway in Nashville, Tennesee, Catalina Island programs like Buccaneer Days and the Catalina Wine Mixer, the Brea Bonanza Days Country Music Festival, and at a variety of park concerts and private events.

     Members of the band are Amos, Rachel, Micah and Sarah Kelly and their extended family of skillful musicians. For the band, music, dance and good times are part of every performance!

BLUE BREEZE BAND

     The Blue Breeze Band is a versatile group performing a wide variety of Motown, R&B, Soul, Funk and Contemporary Hit music. The band was formed in the late 1990s, and members of the band have appeard in concert and/or toured with Lakeside, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Mary J. Blige and many others.

     Members of the band are Harold Wherry (Electric Guitar, Vocals/Background Vocals), Jeff Robinson (Lead/Background Vocals), Chevone Shampine (Lead/Background Vocals), Richard Moorings (Keyboards, Lead/Background Vocals, Trombone), Tim Anderson (Tenor Saxophone, Lead/Background Vocals), Eric Ward (Electric Bass Guitar) and Tyrone Griffin (Trumpet, Keyboard, Lead/Background Vocals).

     In addition to appearing at local park concerts and festivals, the band has performed for former President Bill Cinton, US Armed Services in Okinawa, Japan, the NCS National Championship Party at the Rose Bowl, and for audiences at many other events. THE BRAND SUMMER MUSIC SERIES, GLENDALE

     The Brand Summer Music Series is an outdoor concert series located at the Brand Library and Art Center, 1601 W. Mountain Street in Glendale. The series features an eclectic group of artists in eight weekly concerts running through the end of August.

     This year's concerts will feature: July 7 - The Blue Breeze Band (Motown/Soul/R&B), July 14 - Maria Blues (Ska/Reggae/Latin Music), July 21 - Greg Hosharian and the Armenian Pops Ensemble (Armenian Music), July 28 - Lizzy and the Triggermen (Jazz/Swing), August 4 - The Megan Shung Ensemble (Classical/Contemporary Music), August 11 - Murphy's Flaw (Bluegrass), August 18 - Alan Chan Moo-sic Group (Big Band/Jazz), and August 25 - Eva and the Vagabond Tales (Folk/Pop).

     The series began in 2014, and it is supported by the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission through funding from the Urban Art Program, with support from Glendale Library, Arts and Culture, Glendale Community Services and Parks, and the Brand Associates. The setting for the concerts is the grounds of the historic Brand Library and Arts Center, once the home of former Glendale pioneer Leslie Coombs Brand. Brand left his home and adjacent land to the city to be used as a public park and library, and the library first opened to the public in 1956.

     Performances are on the lawn behind the library and run 60 - 90 minutes without intermission. Seating is not provided; attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs and picnics. CHICO

     The band Chico performs a versatile blend of music for all audiences, adding Latin rhythms - including cha-cha, merengue, bossa nova and salsa - to their repertoire of Latin, Big Band, Swing, Oldies and other popular music.

     Members of the band are Joe Espinosa (Band Leader/Bass Guitar), Bertha Oropeza (Vocals), Adolfo "Fuzzy" Martinez (Sax/Flute/Vocals), Gilbert Avila (Trumpet/Congas/Vocals), Vic Buxton (Keyboard), Martin Medina (Drums) and John Cerecedes (Guitar/Vocals). The band has been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years, and they have performed with Jose Feliciao, Tony Lindsay of Santana and Vicky Carr, among others. Band members also composed and performed the music for a romantic melodrama titled "Luminarias" which was released in 2000.

     Chico entertains audiences throughout Southern California at park concerts, festivals, community and family celebrations and other private and civic events. They also have been invited to perform at casinos such as Pala, Harrah's, The Tropicana, and San Maunuel (Yaamava), and they are known for hosting a popular three-day cruise to Ensenada. 90S ROCKSHOW

     Take a trip back to the 1990s with 90s Rockshow, a band that recreates note-for-note some of the biggest alternative and grunge rock hits of the decade, including songs from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots and many others.

     Members of the band are Seth Romano, Jennifer Jo Oberle (Five for Fighting, Vertical Horizon), Jimmy Keegan (Santana Asia), Erik Johnson and Steve Fazio. The band also is accompanied by a string section featuring Katilin Wolfburg, Emily Elikin, Corinne Olsen and Koi Anunta, and their shows include state-of-the-art sound and lighting for a multimedia, multisensory experience.

     90s Rockshow has played 100s of public and private events throughout Southern California for 1000s of people, including park concerts, clubs and at Knott's Berry Farm. DARDEN

     Raised in a family of musicians, the members of Darden grew up surrounded by musical influences. In the early 2000s their parents piled them into an RV and they embarked on singing tours across the United States. Originally their vocals were backed by their grandfather on honky-tonk style piano, but following their time on the road the sisters began to form their own musical entity. Since then they have developed a sound that is their unique spin on the music they grew up on, alternative, modern Americana based on crystal clear harmonies, beautiful melodies and modern versions of classic songs and styles.

     The members of Darden are sisters Clarah on guitar, Havi on mandolin, and Tabbi on bass. A couple of years ago their brothers Josiah and Noah joined the band on drums and keys. Everyone in the group is a songwriter, and the sisters are the vocalists. They say that "Music has always been our first love, and our goal is to share that love with as many people as possible."

TIJUANA DOGS

     The Tijuana Dogs are a high-energy, multi-faceted rock/dance/party band based out of Orange County. Vocalist and Huntington Beach local Matt Mauser founded the Tijuana Dogs in 1997. In addition to his wide vocal range, Matt is known for his dance moves and on-stage antics. He is joined by band members Dave Murdy (Kilauea, Toxic Jazz) on guitar, composer/producer Daniel Pearson on bass, Sean Winchester (Everclear, Something.Bot.Metro) on drums and Jacob Bigham, background vocals.

     Over the years the band has performed with artists including Lynyrd Skynrd, Pat Benatar, Macklemore, Cheap Trick, Pitbull and Flo Rida. The also have played for former Vice President Dick Cheney and other Washington D.C. dignitaries, athletes Peyton Manning and Aaron Rogers, and many others.

     The Tijuana Dogs perform at parties, weddings and a variety of concert venues across the U.S. and in Mexico, and some of their clients include ESPN, Beachbody, ROTH Capital Partners and Budweiser. 2023 SPOTLIGHT FESTIVAL: LEIMERT PARK JAZZ FESTIVAL

Festival Date: Saturday, August 26

     The Spotlight Festival is a 1- 2- or 3-day event held during the summer. This year's Spotlight Festival is the 4th Annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival. Leimert Park is the vibrant and historic cultural center of South Los Angeles, home to such institutions as The World Stage, The Vision Theater, the Barbara Morrison Center for the Performing Arts and the California Jazz and Blues Museum. The festival will be held from 12:30 - 9 p.m. (with doors opening at 11:30 a.m.) on the rooftop parking deck at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 3650 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. In addition to the music there will be small retail pop-up shops, a wine and beer lounge, food court, kids' zone and more.

     This year's festival will include performances by Carmen Lundy, Poncho Sanchez, Gerald Clayton, Keyon Harrold, emerging artist Veritus Miller, and a UCLA Herbie Hancock Insitute of Jazz alumni ensemble featuring Jonathan Pinson, Miro Sprague, Darynn Dean, Billy Mohler and David Otis. Co-emcees will be KCRW's Leroy Downs and Jose Rizo of KJAZZ. The Executive Producer is Diane Robertson in association with Dwight Trible and The World Stage.

TWISTED GYPSY

     Twisted Gypsy celebrates and reinvents the timeless music of the legendary band Fleetwood Mac. The band takes audiences back to the early days of Hollywood's Sunset Strip in the 1970s with their live harmonies, stage banter and track-free performances, but with a modern interpretation of Fleetwood Mac's music.

     Members of the band and their roles are: singer/songwriter Niki Bente as Stevie Nicks, guitarist Timmy Gilmer as Lindsey Buckingham, singer/songwriter and keyboardist Melia Rose Scaletty as Christine McVie, guitarist Erik Szabo as John McVie, drummer Milo Todesco as Mick Fleetwood and guitarist-composer-producer Aaron Kusterer on lead guitar.

     In addition to their park concerts, Twisted Gypsy has appeared at casinos in Southern California and Arizona, the Pacific Amphitheater, Whisky a Go Go, Garden Amp in Garden Grove, and at clubs, bars, theaters and special events throughout California and beyond.
