WELCOME TO DOROTHY'S WEBSITE FOR SUMMER 2006! Dawn and dusk, sunrise and sunset, the passing of time, change. In a world in which few things stay the same for long, there are still some enduring traditions. On of those is music -- especially the summer concerts held throughout Southern California. So . . . ON THE HORIZON FOR THIS SUMMER at www.dorothyswebsite.org . . . listings of more than 600 concerts in over 90 venues, a new essay series, "Digital Sunrise, Analog Sunset," picking up where last year's series left off on the transition to digital television in the U.S., new "Featured Artists," "Special Guests," some new and some familiar faces, places and events in the "Show of the Week" section, and more! This is the fourth summer for www.dorothyswebsite.org! If this is your first visit, please take the time to browse through the site. You'll find poetry, photographs, an essay series covering topics of current/consumer interest, writing excerpts, links to cities and the musicians performing at the summer concerts, a page of summer "extras," and other information and features. Concerts are listed by date and by city, and the listings cover events in Los Angeles County, Orange County and a few other locations.
