SPECIAL/ARTS EVENTS AND NOTICES - FEBRUARY 2012
Welcome to the winter edition of www.dorothyswebsite.org! This page contains information on arts
and special music/performance-related events and activities. Artwalk information and the listings of free museum
days have been carried over from the summer "Extras" page, with the special arts- and performance-related event notices beginning at the top of the page. Click on the links above to return to the concert listings.
|
A NOTE ON THE SITE FORMAT: There are two distinct phases of www.dorothyswebsite.org: the site you see now and the summer site. The summer site runs from June through September. During that time the hundreds of summer concerts are listed both by city
and by date, for all cities and also divided by county. In addition to the listings, there are a number of other sections: featured artists drawn from the individuals/bands appearing at the concerts, the work of special guests including a painter, photographer and poet, a series of essays on topics of technology-related consumer interest (past subjects have
included genetically modified foods, "green" cars and the transition to digital television in the United States), a special links page, summer "extras," and much more. The format you see now is the site's fall/winter/spring format. Concerts are listed by city as well as by date, and you can reach the listings by clicking the appropriate links on either page.
Additional art- and performance-related event information (including a listing of art walks) and special notices are included on a separate page as well. As always, comments
from visitors are welcome. Please send messages to information@dorothyswebsite.org, or use the e-mail link at the
bottom of the page. Thank you for continuing to visit the site - for nine years now! 10th Anniversary summer is coming this year! |
|
PLEASE REMEMBER: Although every attempt is made to bring you the most current event information possible, ALL SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CONFIRM ANY
EVENT YOU WISH TO ATTEND. A phone number and web link are included if available. Also, if you'd like information on other free events, products and activities on an ongoing basis during the year, follow www.dorothyswebsite.org
