LOS ANGELES (DOWNTOWN) - NISEI WEEK FESTIVAL IN LITTLE TOKYO. Events take place over nine days in several venues in the Little Tokyo area. Includes a variety of cultural events and entertainment on August 18 - 19, including the Grand Parade at 6 p.m. on August 19 through Little Tokyo. On August 25 from 2 -6 p.m. there will be a "New Generation Remix" concert in the JACCC Plaza featuring a mix of taiko, music and dance entertainment, and an "Ondo" Japanese street dance to close the festival at 4 p.m. on August 26. The Swerve Festival is a new annual film, art and music festival celebrating the creative culture of action sports with film and video screenings, live music performances, art exhibitions and workshops and more.
